About

I first heard about Tang Soo Do through a member of my wife’s family who’ run the Coventry Central and West club. I started training in 1997 but stopped 2 years later after reaching Brown Belt, due to illness and injuries. However, after a full recovery, I started training again in 2007.  I received my Black Belt 1st Dan in January 2012 and recently gained my 2nd Dan in January 2015.I have entered all numerous regional, national and European championships with my highest achievement being 3rd place at the European Championships held in Holland 2011.

Being a trainee fitness instructor in conjunction with teaching in the club has helped me build my confidence to be able to teach all grades. I have also helped in fund raising events and assist in management of our training hall.

I thoroughly enjoy teaching Martial Arts, especially training students in the techniques of Tang Soo Do and discipline that it offers.I have entered all numerous regional, national and European championships with my highest achievement being 3rd place at the European Championships held in Holland 2011.

For future students:

Definitely give martial arts a try, you might like it and if you do persevere and progress through the ranks, this will help you not just in Tang Soo Do but also in your life.
